Eat at Laksa King

Today I went to Laksa King in Newmarket (in zone 1) with a group of friends. We all met up at the train station and walked across the road to Laksa King. Here it is rated number 3 restaurant on Urbanspoon.com and so many people rave about this place.
We all arrived there at 6pm and it was packed. Some of the race goers came 10 minutes after and there was a huge queue of people all waiting to be seated.
This place is roomy and has quite a few tables.
A waitress came and took our order within two minutes of being seated and we were out of there within 45 minutes.
Here's what we ordered:
1X Wasbi prawns
1X Char Kuey Teow
1X Chicken curry
3X Bowls of rice.
All together our bill came to about $50.50. We were going to have the banquet ($27 per person) but I didn't want the spring rolls and someone else didn't like spicy food.
The wasbi prawns are succulent and were worth their price of $19.20
The char kuey teow was nice, but it could have been a bit saucier. Another one of my friends thinks that it was burnt, but it wasn't too bad.
The chicken curry was nice, but it could have had a few potatoes in there to make it nicer. It wasn't too spicy which was great for the person who hated spice.
The rice was just plain but it was filled right to the top and we couldn't finish the three bowls.
All in all this is a good place if you are looking for some cheap Asian food and it is recommended for all Asian students new and old to come and try the place.
