Fukuryu Ramen

When Ming from Sweet and Sour Fork blogged about THAT PLACE I just had to try it. On a cold winters night I was sold on ramen; hence Fukuryu Ramen

Corrs Lane is really tricky to find on Lonsdale street, but if you go up Lt Bourke st you'll be able to find it. It is just past Russell st on your way to Parliament station

Like Rice Workshop it is a front counter service where you go and pay and then you'll receive a number. In the kitchen there is a production line going where orders are being rapidly prepared. At the front counter there is a long queue after 7:30pm

But because it was after 7:40 pm when I came I had ordered a kid's sized dry ramen and deep fried tofu cubes with iced tea. I was really intrigued after reading Fatboo's take on that place to try it. It was great. This ramen came without the soup.

The nori tofu cubes were a different take on the Agedashi tofu. It had that sweet spicy chicken salt taste to this. Loved it and it went well with the Japanese Kewpie Mayo

I really hope that Meld Magazine will one day do a review on this place as it is just that good. At night it is even better with all the bars and other restaurants around.

Oh and yes THAT PORK BELLY on the pass did look good.

Do bring cash as they were having a little bit of problems with people paying by card. They just couldn't work out how to do that.
